General Information
Description
Study Skills is a course designed to give students an opportunity to work on skills that are specific to their abilities, receive additional time and/or support to complete assignments/quizzes/tests, and help students develop the skills necessary to begin advocating for themselves. Students will monitor grades and assignments, complete weekly activities using manipulatives, learn to use multiple strategies to solve problems, and learn organizational skills necessary to be successful students.
Expectations and Goals
Students will bring assignments and materials to class. Students will be expected to work independently and in small groups to complete required course work. Time will also be spent on enrichment activities that incorporate unique learning strategies and manipulatives. There will be no homework assigned, but students are expected to use class time productively. NO cellphones are allowed in class.
